DERRICK: Hello folks! My name is Derrick. I am a 4 yr. old black and tan neutered male. I have a docked tail and natural ears. I am kind of a small guy, only 8” and about 10lbs, but don’t let my size fool you. I am a man’s man. If you are looking for a dog to dress up in girly outfits and carry around, I am not the dog for you. I like to walk next to you on a leash and protect the house and yard. I will always let you know if something bad is going down because I want to keep my people safe. Don’t get me wrong, I love to cuddle next to you on the couch, and I am a real lover, but I just don’t like to be carried around like a sissy. If you are looking for a handsome (that’s right I’m very handsome, not cute, yuck) protector, I am the little man for you.

NOTE: Derrick needs an all adult home.

COOKIE: Hello! My name is Cookie. I am a VERY sweet and loving little girl. I get along well with the other doggies here in foster care, and my foster mom says that I am absolutely a doll. I have, however, had a hard life. A wonderful family rescued me from my original owners. I was extremely overweight, so much so that my legs are a little bit bowed, and my owners had me chained up outside in 100 degree weather. It was so hot, and even the water in my bowl was hot. I am so glad that they saved me. Now I get to stay indoors and get lots of attention. I got along well with everyone at this new family's house, the children and the adults and the other dogs, except their min pin. We were doing great, but one day she attacked me. I had to get lots of stitches. The new family was afraid that I would get hurt again, so they decided to help me find a wonderful new home where I would get lots of attention and would be safe. I am about 5-7 years old. I am 12 in. tall and down to a trim 9-10 lbs. I am a beautiful black and tan girl with natural ears and docked tail. I hope to meet my new people very soon. XXOO Cookie

ZOE: Meet Zoe! This little girl is so SWEET and PRECIOUS. She loves to get attention and spend time cuddling with humans. Zoe is about 5 yrs. old, and she spent most of her time before she came into rescue living in a heated barn. Zoe loves being with her humans indoors though, and she is making the transition to inside life fabulously. She is already doing a great job of going to the potty outside, and she LOVES to spend time on the couch! Zoe's former owners gave her access to food at all times, and as a result, Zoe is overweight. She is about 12” tall and weighs about 20lbs. Zoe is doing really well with scheduled feeding times, and she is already beginning to loose weight. Zoe also has a cataract on her left eye, which might make her loose vision in that eye, but she gets along wonderfully. Zoe is an absolute sweetheart, and she is looking for a home whe! re she can spend her days inside being a lap-warmer!

TERRA: My name is Terra. I was found walking the streets and taken in by the volunteer dog warden. I'm 6.2 pounds, 9” high and I think I'm around 8-9 months old. I'm cute as the bee's knees too I might add!

After being saved from wandering around the roads and fields I was taken to a vet and found to have a fractured rear leg. I knew something was wrong because it hurt me very bad for a long time. Now its been weeks and the doctor said it has already healed. ..there is nothing they can do about it now.

But that sure don't slow me down - I still am a babe at heart and love to romp and jump and play with the other minpins here in the house. I can run like the wind and I can also climb a fence! I'm fast and need watching around doors, too! After playing or running I do have to hold my leg up to relieve the pain but it goes away fast and I'm back at being a wild child in no time!

I love to nuzzle up against your face and just can't get enough of being next to someone who treats me nice. I slip under the covers at night and will lay right beside you while we both get a good night's rest. I know the dog door here and am housebroken.

I'm looking for a home where I will be taken care of, pampered and loved. I would prefer an adult home with maybe another little doggie pal to play with. If you are willing to take in a slightly handicapped pin then I may be the girl for you!

BENDER: Hey out there! My name is Bender. I am a very loving boy, and I am looking for a family of my very own. My old family left me at a shelter. The people at the shelter were very nice, and they said that they would help me to find a new home. At first, I didn’t want a new home, so I ran away to find my old family. I guess the shelter was pretty far away because I couldn’t find them anywhere. So, I came back to the shelter, and they sent me to rescue. It is pretty fun here. There are lots of dogs to play with (I like to pick on the big doggies, so my foster mom says that I need a home with small dogs only or I would do okay as an only dog). I am crate-trained, and I am making good progress on housetraining. My foster mom says that I am a very good boy, and she says that I am cute. I am only about a year old. I have a docked tail and naturally stand-up ears. I am about 12 inches tall and weigh about 12 lbs. My foster mom says that my fur is stag red (whatever that means). My foster mom says that I need either an all adult home or a home with older children (over 10 years old). All and all, I would love to find a home where I could get lots of attention and love. SHOTZY: Hello, my name is Shotzy! My new foster mommy says that I am a sweet little guy. I was out wandering the streets, and the folks at the shelter found me and took me in. They sent me to a place called rescue. I have been having tons of fun playing with the other doggies here, but I would like to find a place of my very own. I am super high energy, and I love to PLAY and run and PLAY. I would really like to have a fenced in yard or a person to take me on long walks. My foster mom says that I need either an all adult home or a home with older children (over 10 years old). I am about 1-2 years old, and I am 14 inches tall and weigh 13 lbs. I have a docked tail and natural ears, and I am chocolate in coloring. When I was at the vet’s office to get neutered and all of my shots, all the people there said that I am very handsome. PUNT: Hey World! My name is Punt, and I am really just a baby. I was found as a stray, and the shelter guesses that I am around 6 months old. Right now, I weigh about 6 lbs., but I am still a growing boy. I love to play, and everybody says that I am as sweet as can be. I love to get lots and lots of attention. I am always wagging my tail (I have natural ears and tail). I would really like a family to spoil me rotten, but my foster mommy says that it would be good for me to find a family that would take me to training classes. I am still young and learning about the world. I hope to find my new family soon.

Because he is so small, Punt needs a home with all adults or children over 10 years old.

DREW: Drew is a sturdy little boy at 13 lbs. and 12 in., but don't let that fool you. He is as sweet as can be and loves to cuddle! He recently came into rescue after he and his brother Rust ended up at the local shelter. Like his brother, Drew loves to play and loves the other dogs here, but he loves to cuddle and relax with his people much more. Drew is an approximately 2-3-year-old red miniature pinscher. He has natural ears and a docked tail. He is looking for an all-adult home or a home with children over 10. Drew will make an amazi ng companion! He loves people, and he loves to snuggle.

RUST: Meet Rust! This little boy is a real doll. He is an approximately 1-2-year-old red miniature pinscher. He has a docked tail and natural ears, and he weighs 11 lbs. Little Rust recently found himself at the local shelter along with his brother Drew. Rust has been such a joy since he came into rescue. He has been very, very excited about playing with the other dogs here and romping in the backyard. Rust has a lot of spunk, but he can also be very sweet and loving. He is looking for an all-adult home or a home with children over 10. He wou ld really love a big backyard or lots of walks in the park. But, most of all, he would really love a person of his very own to love.
