BETSY: Betsy is a delight! She is the most outgoing of the recent rescues! Though born into mill life and used as a "production" animal, she is warming up quickly and has decided firmly that this is the life! She has spent her 4 years of life living on wire. She lived in a wire cage with indoor and outdoor access, but has always been suspended above ground on wire! She was amazed to walk in the grass, or through the house and feel the solid surface beneath her! She will come to us to be petted and though a tiny bit shy, is the most forward of the group and will actually stand up on my leg to be picked up and cuddled!
She is a very sweet-natured girl and like all mill dogs, is grateful for the smallest of comforts. She enjoys lounging on the deck in the sun, laying back in a soft bed and catching the rays. She trots happily out through the yard, and seems to relish walking through the grass. Betsy would love a home with soft beds, warm cuddles and loves, and clean water and food. She is a precious soul that needs someone with patience, and love to teach her about life as a beloved family member, and not just another breeder in the puppy production factory.
Betsy is located in Topeka, KS. She is a 4 yr old Black and Tan female who weighs 10 lbs, stands 11" tall. Betsy has a Docked tail with Cropped ears. We will not ship this girl.

BUDDY: Buddy is a very special boy. We suspect he was abandoned by his owner at the high kill shelter in Kansas City because of his health issues. Buddy was diagnosed with Cushing's Disease (pituitary-based). His treatment consists of a daily pill to control his cortisol levels. His medicine runs about $60-80 a month. He will need to be on it for life. He will also have to have annual testing done to determine if he needs a medical adjustment. This testing is between $150-300 depending on your vet.
Buddy is a very handsome little fella and has personality plus! He loves to go on walks, or out to the barn to snoop around while I tend to the horses. He stays close by and is always on alert. In the evenings he is a complete snuggle boy, wanting to snooze beside you or on your lap, preferably with a blanket! He is a terrific min pin with all the high stepping action, attitude, and love and loyalty one could hope for!
Buddy is located in Berryton, KS. He is a 7 yr old black and tan male who weighs 11 lbs, stands 12" tall. Buddy has a docked tail with cropped ears. We will not fly this boy but vehicle transport is possible.

SPIKE: Spike is a wonderful little guy. He Is a very special fella, you see, he came to us because of an accident. He had gotten loose from his home and was hit by a car and his rear leg was shattered. He was taken to the shelter and then vet hospital. Meanwhile, his owner had called in a missing dog report and was told one sounding like him was at the hospital. She came in and identified him as her Spike. She didn't think she could afford to fix his leg so rescue was called and she signed him over. His leg had to be amputated and he spent several days in the hospital being spoiled. He then came home to his new foster home where the spoiling is continuous! He is easy to love as he is friendly to all, enjoying the other dogs and cats, and all people. He likes to run and play, then cuddle up with the folks on the couch and snuggle. He is happy to go into his crate for meals, and he is well house-trained to go outside. He really seems to be a well-mannered, all around happy guy. Spike will need another few weeks to heal up from his ordeal and to have his vetting completed, but meanwhile, he would sure like to know he might be getting a "furever" home to start the New Year.
