REX: This is Rex, which is Latin for KING. Up until now life was anything but kingly for little Rex. We call him Bones and you can see why from his pictures. At five years old he has been through far too much for any Min Pin to handle. It seems he spent the last two years on a chain outside without shelter and very little food. WHY? Simple, his owners did not like him or want him in the house. Right now he is on 2 medications daily for low liver and pancreatic enzymes. The vet is hoping this will be temporary but it is possible that he will need these meds for life. It is too soon to tell. Rex is now here in foster and his whole life is changing quickly. He listens to commands and is very eager to please. Potty training is problematic but we are working on it. He craves attention , wants to be touched and loves to cuddle under the covers with his human. This is a special boy who deserves the best. To him heaven is a warm place to sleep, plenty to eat, someone to love and who will love him in return. Can you provide that? He has been waiting in a hell of neglect and indifference. Calling all angels!!!! This boy really needs our help!

UPDATE: At 13.5 lbs Rex is making a dramatic comeback. Not only is he putting on weight but he is responding to treatment as well! Rex is a very loving boy. He is doing well on potty training and and his social skills have vastly improved. He loves toys, chewies, lots of attention, and his place under the covers in bed. He loves long walks, car rides and anything that involves being with his humans. He gets along with other animals; strangers; but has had limited exposure to children. He is a very loyal, happy-go-lucky and eager to please kind of guy. He is looking forward to a forever home where he will be treated like that king that he is. If you are ready to receive royalty, please contact his servant at: AMPSMass@comcast.net.

NOTE: If you are unable to adopt Rex at this time, please consider becoming his pinpal and helping with his vet costs. Just a little would mean a lot.

NIKA: Nika is a very happy, hyper Min Pin. She is a spayed 10 month old Red who has natural Bat ears, and a Natural tail that curls up on her hip until she is ready to wag it, and boing!! It's out straight and going a mile a minute. She is as happy as any little pup can be, and she just loves attention. She loves other dogs, but is so hyper that she would probably do best with a home that has a younger dog that is as hyper as she is or dog that doesn't mind having her jumping all over them. She would love to be an only dog - and in that case, she would love to have an older child to help her burn off some of that energy.

TIGER: Hi, My name is Tiger although I am more of a kitten type a guy. I am looking for a new home because my current home has 2 other dogs and I get into marking contests with my brother. This has turned out to be a real problem in which I don't know that I should be going outside to potty at all. My mom feels it would be easier for me to find a new home as I am younger and cuter than my brother. My perfect home will have to be very patient and consistent with my housetraining. I will need a pretty regular schedule so I can become a well trained little boy. Now for the good stuff. I am a very active guy and full of energy. I need a ton of exercise and love as much attention as I can get. I have lived with two young boys and love to run and play with them. I can usually tire them out. I really want to be the best dog I can be and if the right home comes along that understands and has the patience to work with me, I will be that dog.
